The 63rd annual Philadelphia Folk Festival runs Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County, about 45 minutes outside Philadelphia. Music runs 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, with a campers-only concert the evening before on August 13.
Sixty-three years is a long time for anything to survive, let alone a music festival that runs on volunteer labor and a farm field. The Philadelphia Folk Festival started in 1962, has moved sites three times, took a hiatus in 2023, and came back in 2024 stronger than a lot of people expected. Philadelphia singer-songwriter John Flynn returns as Main Stage host and performer, more acts, including additional local names, are still being added as the date gets closer.
